Various TV appearances and four albums 'Margaux With An X' , 'Spookydubois at Corfe Castle' , Home Is You and recent release 'My Difference' have generated a host of accolades for UK based singer/songwriter/guitarist Margaux.

Described as a 'rare jewel' with a 'voice oozing attitude', Margaux has an uncanny knack for captivating an audience with her original material.

She has actively promoted her music on the US and UK gig circuit, notably performing at the Rock Festival Guilfest alongside the likes of Alice Cooper and her New York City tour included renowned venues, such as The Bitter End and CB's Gallery.

A wider audience is beginning to hear the music as 'Around and About', a television program produced on Meridian TV and 'Art Fein's Poker Party' a US cable talk show, recently showcased Margaux as their featured artist.

My Difference : Margaux's best album to date !
Comprising a mixture of catchy, sexy and energetic pop/rock songs tinged with raw emotion, accompanied by driving rhythmic undercurrents and punctuated by powerful guitar riffs. Recorded at Trackside Studios with Paul Page in the UK, the album is capped off by her unique vocals, which TV presenter Damian Thomas called 'a voice that I could listen to until my dying day'.

British DJ & TV personality Steve Penk says : 'The more I hear this CD the more I like it. My comments are that this is so suited to the American market. My favourite tracks and the songs I think would make the best single are 'Je Ne Sais Quoi' or 'Love Deep Flows'. There is no question Margaux is a major talent'.

When Margaux first set eyes on the enigmatic castle ruins at Corfe in the beautiful Dorset countryside in England, little did she realise precisely how much impact this was to have on her life.

Some 10 years later the inspiring village hilltop site that ignited her vivid imagination, is now the setting for her latest album 'Spookydubois at Corfe Castle'.

Full of action and fantasy it's a gripping tale of passion love and betrayal, good versus evil, a 'minds eye' musical concept that the latest digital format MXP4 now enables to be 'visually heard' !

Set in Medieval England and Southern France 'Spookydubois at Corfe Castle' is the first part of a trilogy featuring the epic adventures of Spookydubois a fictional heroine who awakens during an eclipse suffering from amnesia.

A curse is lifted that allows her to embark on an epic quest in search of her destiny and long lost son. Slowly discovering the truth and battling intermittent memory loss and confusion, she faces constant danger, for the evil Lord is the unrightfully ruler of the realm and his love for her is profoundly consequential...

The album 'Margaux With An X' is an expression of her desire to extend and push her musical boundaries further. Says Margaux : ' I wanted to explore and amalgamate a cohesive collection of different musical styles, classical, rock, dance and techno'.

The album comprises a mixture of catchy, sexy and energetic tracks tinged with raw emotion, accompanied by driving techno beats and dance rhythmic undercurrents, punctuated by powerful guitar riffs and strong classical orchestration. Recorded at Margaux's recording studio 'Rachalans Studios' in Southern France, the album is capped off by her unique vocals, which TV presenter Damian Thomas called 'a voice that I could listen to until my dying day'.

Margaux's album 'Home Is You' is an exciting live acoustic session recorded during filming of the videos.

It includes acoustic versions of tracks from previous studio recordings and is in part an album based on improvisation ; Margaux accompanied by singer/guitarist Seb Mallen performs an exciting musical challenge with neither Seb or her knowing precisely where the songs are taking them, which is typified in the main title track 'Margaux With An X' (Live Acoustic Session).

Margaux was born of French/Greek ancestry in Cologne Germany, into a musical and acting family, her grandmother being a classical violinist and her aunt an actress who also sang and danced.

At the age of 5, Margaux was bought a guitar by her mother, who unexpectedly died two years later. As a result Margaux wrote her first song shortly afterwards which in later years became 'Oceans Apart'. At the age of 11, she obtained her first radio interview on Germany's national station WDR3, following her school essay about 'a dream coming true'. She spoke for an hour about her love of music and determination of becoming a major recording artist.

At 14 the family moved to Southern France, where she developed her guitar playing and performance, influenced by artists such as Suzanne Vega, ZZ Top, David Bowie and Kate Bush.

She later went to Preston Lancashire England on a language exchange program, obtained blues tuition from guitarist Kevin Slater and carried out several gigs in the area.

Following the family tradition Margaux enrolled at the Conservatoire de Musique et d'Art Dramatique of Montpellier (Southern France) to learn classical double bass, later moving to Paris for tuition with double bass soloist Sylvain Wiener of the Ensemble Orchestral de Paris.

During this period besides studying music and working for a Luthier she played with numerous classical Orchestras and Jazz bands.

After completing her classical music studies she returned to performing live shows as a singer, fronting her Rock band and touring France, during which time she played at various major events such as the Festival de Bourges and launch of the French pay to view TV channel, Canal+ subsidiary.

Recordings were undertaken with Trip-hop French band Ollano (Rosebud/Polygram), releases of which were regularly played and reviewed within the British Music Press.

In order to further her musical career, Margaux moved to London, where she continued to develop her songwriting skills.
